From the Archives
The Story of Cosmos – a School with Roots and a Future
Cosmos International School was reborn through a joint project between Cosmos Kids Kindergarten, the residents of the village of Osoitsa (Gorna Malina Municipality), and investor Ivan Nikolchev. We continue the philosophy of Cosmos Kids English Nursery & Kindergarten and for over 14 years have supported the imagination and learning of more than 400 children.
Our roots trace back to 1926–1930, when settlers from the Pirin region—together with an Italian architect and craftsmen—built the solid Asen Zlatarov School, featuring stone walls and a clock tower. Recognized by the Ministry of Education in the 1950s and closed in 1989, today it comes back to life as Cosmos—a place where history and the future learn together.
