The Restoration
A New Life for a Century-Old School
Cosmos International School was established in 2022 with a clear vision – to create a school outside the city, in nature, while bringing new life to an old, abandoned 100-year-old school building in the village of Osoitsa.
The building is nearly a century old and was constructed from stone sourced from the nearby hill. It had been completely abandoned for 35 years. In just ten months in 2021, with great care and dedication, the school was fully restored.
The clock tower, built in 1927, is a cultural landmark designed by an Italian architect and constructed from hand-cut stone.
The school has three floors, each with four classrooms, as well as a principal’s office, medical room, libraries, and a theater hall.
