Our school launches 2 national scientific projects

With great joy, we share that both of our national science projects, carried out in collaboration with the Training Center at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (BAS), have been approved for funding!

The projects focus on creating a Small Educational Research Community composed of students and their teacher-mentors.

The first research community is led by our Science teacher, specializing in Biology and Chemistry, Yavor Denchev, and will explore the topic: “Brain Rot”. The project aims to investigate whether excessive consumption of social media content affects the cognitive functions of the brain in children and young people aged 12 to 22. The study will focus on attention span, problem-solving skills, and memory retention of new information.

The second research community is guided by our Physics teacher, Hristo Zhelev, and will delve into the “Investigation of the Climatic Conditions in the Village of Osoitsa, Gorna Malina Municipality”. The project’s goal is to install a local weather station on the school’s grounds and use the collected data for student-led research and to support the well-being of the local community.

We are excited about the potential of these projects to inspire young minds and contribute to science!
