Cosmos Recycles For Good

The third edition of our ecofest comes with a charitable mission

On November 26, our school will become a center of responsibility, care for nature, and support for others during our traditional ecofest COSMOS RECYCLES. This year, the focus is not only on the environment but also on GOODNESS. In the third edition of the festival, we proudly say: COSMOS RECYCLES FOR GOOD. Throughout the day, we will be collecting waste materials, converting them into funds, and donating all proceeds to the “For the Good” Foundation and their “Firefly” project, which supports the renovation of the Children’s Ward at the Municipal Hospital in Elin Pelin.

Everyone—young and old—is welcome to create in our eco workshops and support the charitable initiative by bringing recyclables from home: nylon, PET bottles, paper, and glass. The more waste we collect, the more funds we will be able to donate.

ECO WORKSHOPS will run throughout the entire day—from edible playdough and scrapbooking to a recycling race and “music from scrap.” Anyone who has an idea, interest, or time and would like to join with their own creative workshop is welcome to participate.

The GOODNESS BAZAAR will be open during the festival, featuring children’s creations, local artists, entrepreneurs, and organic producers. A portion of the sales will once again be donated to our charitable cause.

We will also host ENGAGING LECTURES, including:

  • Zero-Waste with Yora Yosifova
  • Biodynamic agriculture and permaculture with Teo Nasser
  • A journey “beyond orbit” with Assoc. Prof. Elisaveta Peneva, Head of the Department of Meteorology and Geophysics at Sofia University and the Bulgarian scientist in the EU’s “Copernicus” program. She will present satellites in space as observers of Earth’s environmental health.
